While only FlashForge's branded filament spools will fit inside the Finder's integrated filament compartment, the compartment isn't required, and any brand of filament can be used externally (external spoolholders available [%insert name="link" type="PRD" src="1196" content="here" title="3D Printed" %] or [%insert name="link" type="PRD" src="2146" content="here" title="injection molded" %]). The max nozzle temperature of lack of heater bed limits the filament option primarily to PLA and PLA compounds (woodfill, etc..). PETG can also be used at slightly slower speeds along with extra bed adhesive such as our [%insert name="link" type="PRD" src="2044" content="3D LAC spray" title="3D LAC spray" %].

A SD Card in your printer will allow you to store prints and print them directly from SD. This is more reliable than a USB connection and allows you to power down your computer.
A heated bed is important to reduce Warping and have a better adhesion of the 3D print to the print bed.

The auto bed leveling feature will probe the buildplate on a few different points. This allows the 3D printer to detect deviations in the buildplate and adjust the print accordingly. This makes is much easier to start a print as you don't have to manually adjust the bed position.
