The CR-20 Pro adds several nice features on top of the already-impressive CR-20:
The CR-20 Pro kit is professionally packaged and contains two logically-divided sections (the horizontal and vertical frame) that can be assembled in minutes using only a few screws; the tools are included, and hardware experience is not required. Most of the frame is made from black aluminum V-slot extrusions and in combination with the bowden system for the extruder, results in an efficient, sturdy frame with 0.1mm Z-axis print precision. The dual sided lead screws on the Z-axis ensure good layer stacking and thus high quality prints. The new v2.1 controller board makes it a stable and smooth printing experience, with a convenient menu system navigable using the sturdy dial. The printer includes a heated bed which reduces the risk of print warping or detachment during printing, and the graphical display + SD slot allows for standalone printing. The heated bed's flexible, magnetically-attached print surface is easy to remove from the rest of the bed plate, allowing for faster and easier 3D print removal.
For new 3D printing enthusiasts: 3D printers runs off of so-called "gcode" files, which are generated from free software slicers such as Slic3r or Cura. Most modern printers (including Crealitys) can run their gcode prints either via an integrated SD or mini-USB slot for stand-alone printing, or from a seperate PC or laptop via the USB slot. In case of power failure, Creality's printers have a "recovery" mode that allows for resuming the print from the LCD interface once power is restored, an essential sanity-saving feature to avoid the frustration of wasted time and filament.
A small "starter" spool of filament is included in the kit, but it won't last long! We recommend including in your purchase a larger spool of Real filament or a multi-color [%insert name="link" type="PRD" src="1728" content="PLA sample pack" title="PLA sample pack" %] to assist you in your upcoming exploration of all the colorful things you can print with your new Creality!
The kit includes the following items:
|Bed width||22 cm|
|Bed Depth||22 cm|
|Build Height||25 cm|
|Resolution Z axis||0.1 mm|
|Number of extruders||1|
|Filament diameter||1.75 mm|
|Max. hot-end temperature||260 °C|
Bowden printers feed filament through a tube as opposed to Direct Drive systems. This adds important advantages (faster printing) and disadvantages (higher filament retraction settings). You can find more information on Direct Drive and Bowden systems, Click here
|Max. heated bed. temp.||100 °C|
|Screen type||Graphical LCD|
A SD Card in your printer will allow you to store prints and print them directly from SD. This is more reliable than a USB connection and allows you to power down your computer.
A heated bed is important to reduce Warping and have a better adhesion of the 3D print to the print bed.
|Auto Bed Leveling
The auto bed leveling feature will probe the buildplate on a few different points. This allows the 3D printer to detect deviations in the buildplate and adjust the print accordingly. This makes is much easier to start a print as you don't have to manually adjust the bed position.
This feature allows your printer to be controlled over a WIFI network. You can execute movements as well as start a print.
